I am a licensed professional counselor who received my PhD in counseling from the University of Virginia.  Over the course of my career, I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, agencies, universities, and private practices.  I also have served as adjunct faculty for George Washington University and Argosy University.

I am also a National Certified Counselor, as well as an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have presented on counseling research at the national, regional, and state levels, as well as conducted numerous counseling groups, including those focused on healthy relationships, recovery from bulimia, domestic violence, divorce, and caregivers of the elderly.
